Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

HitJam is a free browser instrument. The short version: everything you play happens on your own device, we don't ask who you are, and we'd like to keep it that way.

What we don't collect

No accounts, no sign-ups, no cookies for tracking, no forms. The sound you make is generated in your browser and never leaves your device: nothing you play is recorded, uploaded, or heard by us.

What stays on your device

Your preferences: volume, the view you picked (piano or keys), label settings, and which sidebar sections you collapsed: are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your browser, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't receive or keep our own logs of who you are.

Analytics and ads

HitJam currently runs no analytics and shows no ads. If that ever changes, this page will say so first, and any such tags will be restricted to the production site only.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Questions: support@hitjam.io.
