Virtual trumpet
A real trumpet recorded in a room, held notes with a player's natural vibrato, from the F below middle C up to high C. Every recording was measured and tuned to the exact pitch, so melodies sit in tune. Each note lasts about one breath, the way a real player's does, and lifting the key ends it cleanly.
On a velocity-sensitive MIDI keyboard, a normal touch plays the singing vibrato and a hard hit switches to the trumpet played loud, straight and brassy. On letter keys you get the vibrato, and the arrow keys move you up and down the horn's range.
