Terms of Service

Last updated: August 30, 2026

By using hitjam.io ("HitJam"), you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

The service

HitJam is a free, browser-based musical instrument. You can use it for personal and commercial music-making alike: what you play is yours. We may change, add, remove, or discontinue features (or the whole service) at any time.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no attempts to disrupt it, overload it, scrape it at scale, or use it to infringe anyone's rights. That's it.

Sounds and credits

The Grand Piano uses samples from the Salamander Grand Piano V3 by Alexander Holm, licensed CC BY 3.0, trimmed and transcoded by HitJam. The rest of HitJam: code, design, and synthesized sounds: belongs to HitJam and may not be copied or re-hosted as your own.

No warranty

HitJam is provided "as is", free of charge, with no warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will always be available, bug-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. Mind your speaker volume.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date above changes with it. Continuing to use HitJam after a change means you accept the new terms. Questions: support@hitjam.io.
